Arqiva has announced the appointment of Mark Steele as Chief of Operations. Mark joined Arqiva in 2015 in a project capacity before being appointed Director of Service Operations later the same year. In 2021 Mark moved to become Director of Field Operations where he was responsible for the hundreds of engineers operating 24/7 in the field to manage UK TV and radio broadcasting and smart utilities networks.
Mark was appointed to the Chief of Operations role in an interim capacity in Spring 2024 and his permanent appointment comes after a competitive recruitment process.
His career of over 25 years includes numerous senior leadership roles, both on- and off-shore, across all service management disciplines at businesses such as Virgin Media, Telewest Broadband and Yorkshire Electricity.
