Senior Executives from Europe and South America join the World Teleport Association Board of Directors in 2024

The World Teleport Association (WTA) has announced the election of two new members to its Board of Directors for three-year terms beginning April 1, 2024:


  • Pablo Hoyos, Director of Customer Operations, Hispasat

  • Kenny Skillen, Head of Platform Engineering & Delivery, Arqiva


In addition, the election returned two Board members for a second term:


  • Lorenzo Ronzitti, Head of Satcom Transnational Coordination, Telespazio

  • Susan Saadat, Senior Vice President, Americas, ETL Systems


In March, the Board of Directors appointed Guido Neumann, Chief Development Officer of AXESS Networks, as its Chairman, succeeding José Sánchez Ruiz, Chief Operating Officer of Hispasat, who stepped down at the end of his final term. Continuing to serve on WTA’s Board of Directors are:


  • Guido Neumann, Chief Development Officer, AXESS Networks (Chair)

  • Jay Bloom, Head of Project Kuiper Satellite Ground Systems, Amazon Kuiper

  • Shlomi Izkovitz, Co-Founder, iKO Media Group

  • Jay LaPrise, Senior Vice President, Global Transmission Operations, Encompass Digital Media

  • Samuel Lemercier, Managing Director UK, Globecast

  • Adam Levy, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Operations and Chief Information Officer, Intelsat

  • Lim Kian Soon, Vice President of Satellite Business, Singtel

  • Jesús Méndez Sampedro, 3rd Party Teleport Manager, Eutelsat Group

  • Will Mudge, Senior Vice President, Technology and Operations, Speedcast

  • Rob Weitendorf, Vice President of Business Development, Kymeta

  • Eric Williams, Senior Manager, Strategic Teleport Partners & Implementation, SES

  • Gannis Yuen, Senior Vice President, Engineering and Operations, ABS - Agility Beyond Space


Directors on the WTA Board serve three-year terms and are elected by the membership.


“One of WTA’s strengths is its ability to attract such talented people to serve on its Board and represent the teleport operators, satellite operators and technology firms that make up the sector,” said executive director Robert Bell. “Our members are grateful for their willingness to give their time and expertise to the association.”
