British thermal imaging specialists Silent Sentinel will be showcasing their range of innovative threat detection systems and launching a range of new Electro-Optic (EO) imaging platforms at DSEI 2021. DSEI is taking place from Tuesday 14th September to Friday 17th September at the ExCeL exhibition centre in London. Silent Sentinel will be displaying their equipment on Stand H1-438 in the Security Zone.
Silent Sentinel will be unveiling two new products on their stand which will expand their current offering to reflect the British SME’s status as an early adopter of advanced new technologies. These innovative products are designed with systems integrators in mind, and they will add to the full range of Silent Sentinel platforms which offer a broad spectrum of integration opportunities for a variety of mission requirements.
Also featured on the DSEI stand will be a specialised Counter-UAS array comprising Silent Sentinel’s Jaegar Ranger 225 which is an example of their leading Electro-Optical platforms forming part of a wider C-UAS solution, capable of taking on many configurations. The array is integrated by Silent Sentinel’s valued customer SKYLOCK and will also feature a radar provided by OWL, whom Silent Sentinel have worked with on both C-UAS and other threat detection projects. These relationships demonstrate that Silent Sentinel are establishing themselves as a leading provider of integratable Electro-Optical threat detection platforms within the rapidly developing C-UAS market. The array showcases the Jaegar’s unique through-shaft which enables payloads such as radar to be mounted directly above the Pan-Tilt Unit (PTU).
Silent Sentinel’s appearance at DSEI will be their first in-person event in the UK for over a year, and it follows a year of exciting developments for the Hertfordshire-based SME, which only last year won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade. Most recently, Silent Sentinel introduced their 25-150mm Long Wavelength Infrared (LWIR) uncooled thermal lens to the Aeron Ranger suite of cameras. The Aeron Ranger is a series of compact and ruggedised dual-sensor Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) platforms which can house both cooled MWIR and uncooled LWIR thermal sensors able to operate within a temperature range of -30°C to 65°C.
2021 also marked the appointment of US Consulting firm JGW as Silent Sentinel’s Sales Partner in the US, following on from notable successes in the US market, including Silent Sentinel’s selection by the Department of Defense as a provider for the ‘Build the Base of the Future’ programme. The partnership with JGW builds on Silent Sentinel’s expansion plans already in place with the recent opening of Silent Sentinel Inc, based in St Petersburg, Florida.
Prior to this partnership was the award of a significant contract to supply a bespoke multi-sensor Electro-Optic platform for Rheinmetall Canada’s Mission Master Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) which will be showcased on Rheinmetall’s stand at DSEI 2021. Silent Sentinel also demonstrated its agility in combating the COVID pandemic by developing its Modum body temperature detection cameras, which were delivered rapidly and ordered in vast quantities for use in transport hubs, industrial facilities and workplaces.
James Longcroft, Sales Director at Silent Sentinel said: “We are excited to unveil our brand-new products at our stand in the Security Zone at DSEI this year. We are looking forward to showcasing our best-in-class threat detection systems which will be available to view in person for the very first time, and we will be on-hand to brief stakeholders on their capabilities and how they represent an ambitious step forward for our company.”
