Thaicom Public Company Limited has partnered with the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency or GISTDA to host the Thailand Space Week 2023, the international event to showcase Thailand's potential and business opportunities in the space industry with the theme “Fostering Global Value Chain”. This event was held on October 25-27, 2023 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand.
As the leading satellite operator and regional space technology company, Thaicom unveiled the new generation of software-defined high throughput satellites or SD-HTS, that can adjust coverage area, capacity, and frequency to meet the needs of customers in a variety of sectors, such as broadband connectivity in underserved areas, maritime broadband platform, distance learning, and telemedicine. Thaicom also introduced its space technology platforms utilized from space-based data analyzed with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to encourage the development of the country, including agriculture, tourism, disaster prevention and mitigation, and natural resource and environmental conservation.

In this event, Thaicom's executives have also been invited to participate in international forums with other experts and top executives from leading space technology companies to exchange perspectives and ideas for driving Thailand's New Space Economy. Additionally, Thaicom announced its partnership with Kasetsart University, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Airbus, and the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) to strengthen its capabilities and expertise to develop new products and services for the satellite and space technology industries.
