Vast appoints Siddharth Hariharan as its Chief Financial Officer

Vast, the pioneering space habitation technology company focused on building humanity’s first commercial space station, has appointed Siddharth Hariharan as its first Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Hariharan brings over 20 years of investment banking experience, advising high-growth companies across the technology, consumer, and industrial sectors. His financial expertise will be foundational to Vast’s next phase of growth.

“Sid is the right leader to further strengthen our impressive executive team as we approach a series of groundbreaking milestones,” said Max Haot, CEO of Vast. “As we accelerate our operational growth, develop our NASA Commercial Low Earth Development (CLD) Program bid and commercialization models, and prepare for future fundraising, now is the perfect time to welcome Sid as our CFO.”

Before joining Vast, Hariharan was responsible for the Consumer Tech Investment Banking practice at Rothschild & Co., overseeing public and private M&A transactions, IPOs, follow-on offerings, and capital raises for mid- and large-cap companies. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at J.P. Morgan’s investment bank. He has extensive expertise in the technology, consumer sector, and industrial sectors and has led multiple equity and M&A transactions for clients, including GoPro, Sonos, Beats By Dr Dre, SSENSE, Printful, Full Swing Golf, Steel Series, Fossil, and MVMT.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible companies in a variety of industries, but space exploration is truly the next frontier,” said Hariharan. “Vast’s mission to revolutionize how humanity thrives in space presents a unique opportunity, and I’m excited to join the team making this visionary journey a reality.”

Vast is at the forefront of commercial space station development, driving innovation in space habitation and research. Its human-centric, hardware-first approach to station design will come to life with the launch of Haven-Demo in 2025. The mission will provide valuable data for the subsequent launch of Haven-1, the world’s first commercial space station.
